“This house belongs to God, and we’re just living in it.” This is what we are teaching our girls and what we are reminding ourselves of every time we host people in our home. We are so, so thankful God provided for us a 3-bedroom house so we could turn the master bedroom and bathroom into a guest suite! We are grateful to have already hosted six sets of guests in five months and are still looking forward to hosting Israeli “pre-believers” in this space. Would you please be praying for the guests God desires to bring to this house?
In April, we had our new coworker, Marc, visit for a few days and we enjoyed a productive time of fellowship and learning from him. One morning, Marc and I (BJ) set up a table for evangelism at Northern Arizona University’s campus and shared the gospel with 22 students! We pray God will water and grow these seeds that were planted.
Recently, Chosen People Ministries has started to transfer funds designated for our camp ministry to Life in Messiah. We are so grateful for this!
Perhaps the most exciting ministry news is our newly formed partnership with Canyon Ministries. We’ve been praying for over a year now about partnering with Canyon Ministries (a local ministry that offers Biblical Creation tours at the Grand Canyon – canyonministries.org). The purpose of this is to get training in tour guiding so that we, ourselves, can offer professional tours for free to our Israeli guests and effectively share the gospel through God’s magnificent creation in the Canyon. I (BJ) had a meeting with their director in April and heard back this morning that they are willing to train me as a tour guide at no charge… because they want to help reach Israelis with the gospel! I will start with their online training videos soon and ride along with their tour guides to learn firsthand from the pros. Praise God for providing this amazing partnership and pray I will learn the information well, and that God will use this for His glory and the furtherance of His gospel!
On a more personal family note, Ashira (now four months old) is now “too hip for dysplasia.” Praise God – she graduated from her full-body harness treatment for hip dysplasia at the beginning of May! We’re so thankful for effective treatment, and fully developed hips.
Thank you for your partnership with us! Through your prayers and giving, God is using you powerfully to bring the gospel to the Jew first, and also the Gentile.
With love,
BJ, Carissa, Ari, Aviya and Ashira
